Philip K. Dick
Philip K. Dick was the author of books such as VALIS, UBIK, and Man in the High Castle. Films adapted by works by Dick include Blade Runner (from Do Android Dream of Electric Sheep?), Total Recall (from “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale”), Screamers (from “Second Variety”), Paycheck, Minority Report, A Scanner Darkly, and Next (from “The Golden Man.”).
In February of 1974 Dick began to have the hallucinations that inspired the “VALIS Trilogy” of novels.
