The folks at Alternative Right will love this:
Pediatric endocrinologist Maria New—of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Florida International University—isn’t just trying to prevent lesbianism by treating pregnant women with an experimental hormone. She’s also trying to prevent the births of girls who display an “abnormal” disinterest in babies, don’t want to play with girls’ toys or become mothers, and whose “career preferences” are deemed too “masculine.”

Awesome! Obviously, since hetero normality treatments are acceptable, there are no ethical obstacle to developing treatments for other life styles and attitudes. Remember the studies linking conservatism to startle response? Obviously, Republicanism is a treatable condition. Some other human trait you don’t like? Let’s try to eradicate it from the genome! Everyone can pick the traits they don’t like and fund treatment research. Let the biotech wars begin!! (Just remember…some of our traits may have uses that aren’t immediately apparent — see http://www.livescience.com/culture/personality-fertility-100614.htmlv. Wouldn’t it be ironic if eradicting lesbianism turned out to doom humanity?)

Why the hell would anyone want fewer lesbians?
