For those who don’t know, tonight is the first Full Moon of the year. It’s also the biggest Full Moon of 2009. It’s “The Wolf Moon”, so don’t be surprised if you hear some people howlin’.
“What does tonight’s first Full Moon of 2009 foretell? This one is called the Wolf Moon, a Full Moon in Cancer, and it is indeed a precursor to a year that will be full of werewolf news.
“Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.” – The Wolf Man, 1941.
The word is slipping out.”

Titan was trying to tell me the annual infictive wolf-hunt was on the full moon of October the other night but obviously he was just trying to make us miss out on the fun…

The Full Moon of October is “The Hunter’s Moon”. Since wolves are hunters by nature he may have had something there.
Wolf Totem-
“Wolves are the epitome of stamina, known to run 35 miles a day in pursuit of prey. They are highly misunderstood animals, who have gained the reputation of being cold blooded. In reality wolves are friendly and social creatures. Aggression is something they avoid, preferring rather to growl or create a posture to show dominance. Even though living in close knit packs provide wolves with a strong sense of family, they are still able to maintain their individuality. Wolves represent the spirit of freedom, but they realize that having individual freedom requires having responsibilities.
Because wolf is a teacher and pathfinder, he comes when we need guidance in our lives. Those who have a Wolf Totem will move on to teach others about sacredness and spirituality. Wolf can also teach how to balance the responsibility of family needs and not to lose one’s personal identity. Wolf teaches us to develop strength and confidence in our decisions. He shows we will learn to trust our insights once we learn how to value our inner voice. This wisdom keeps us from inappropriate action. If wolf appears in your life examine where you need to develop more confidence and if you need more balance between friends, family, and yourself.”
May whatever call or cry you put out tonight hear you and respond. Peace.

I remember when Ikipr Bagged that ultra rare bald-wolf, bloody vicious, started tearing him apart from the inside out with an out-of-control look on his face, eyes abalze in anger. I’ll never forget moments like that from the 1st annual wolf hunt.

Please don’t make me go looking for Alan Moore material to post. The least you could do is post some links.
